Your first visit to MAW Clinic
A practical guide to preparing for a consultation in Thornton-Cleveleys, near Blackpool.
Before arranging a visit
Online booking is currently paused. Contact Maxine to discuss an appointment or a suitability question. The new-client consultation and first session lasts 60 minutes and costs £50. See prices and deposit information.
What should I bring?
Bring a current list of medicines and a note of the symptoms and questions you want to discuss. Let Maxine know about existing treatment and any changes in your health. You can ask about suitability before arranging your visit.
What should I wear?
Choose comfortable clothing. Ask Maxine in advance whether the area you want assessed will need to be accessible, so you can plan what to wear and discuss privacy or comfort needs.
What happens first?
Your consultation covers your health history, symptoms, aims and suitability. Maxine explains the proposed approach and consent before any treatment. A first appointment does not commit you to a package or guarantee that treatment will be appropriate.
Will it feel uncomfortable?
Fine needles can cause temporary discomfort, and bruising or small amounts of bleeding are possible. Tell Maxine if you feel uncomfortable. Ask about risks and alternatives before deciding. NHS trust information on treatment and side effects.
