Stress & Wellbeing

Gentle support for people who feel tense, depleted, overstimulated or stuck in a cycle of poor sleep and physical stress.

Body and nervous system

Stress is not "just in your head". It can show up as tight shoulders, shallow breathing, headaches, unsettled sleep, jaw tension or a body that feels constantly switched on. Acupuncture may help some people regulate their nervous-system response and reduce physical tension.

Sessions are quiet, one-to-one and paced around your comfort. You do not need to have the perfect words for what is going on.

Clients often seek support for

  • Stress-related tension
  • Anxiety symptoms alongside usual care
  • Sleep disturbance
  • Feeling run down or overwhelmed
  • General wellbeing maintenance

Careful boundaries

Acupuncture can be part of a wellbeing plan, but it is not a replacement for mental health support, urgent care or medication when those are needed. If symptoms suggest you need additional help, Maxine will encourage you to contact your GP or an appropriate service.

A restorative appointment

The goal is simple: a private, professional appointment where you feel safe, heard and supported. Treatment may be adapted from session to session depending on your sleep, stress load and response.
